Stanley was appointed Judge of the Allen Superior Court, Civil Division in 1998 by Governor Frank O’Bannon, where he was re-elected in 2002, 2008, and won contested election in 2014. He retired in December of 2018 after serving 20 years on the bench as a trial judge in personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, commercial litigation; and estate and
trust litigation as Probate Judge.
Presently his practice involves handling personal injury cases.
He also serves as Vice Chair Board of Directors of Saint Joseph Hospital, and Board member Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne; Community Engagement Officer, Heartland Sings, Inc. Chairman , Fire Department Merit Commission,City of Fort Wayne. He is a vocal performer in Fort Wayne.
